About Zerofy Zerofy empowers households to decarbonize through electrification of energy and transportation. Our cloud-based home energy management platform integrates with EVs, solar systems, smart appliances, and heat pumps to help families reduce their carbon footprint while saving money. About the Role We are looking for an AI Research Engineer to join our fully remote/hybrid team with presence across Estonia, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, and Ukraine. You will be working on cutting-edge AI algorithms that power our home energy management solutions. Key Responsibilities - Implement AI algorithms for time-series forecasting, planning and controls, and user interaction - Design algorithm evaluation procedures and performance benchmarks - Collect and analyze benchmark data for algorithm optimization - Deploy production-ready algorithms to cloud environment - Work with IoT devices and smart home technologies - Collaborate with a distributed team across multiple time zones Required Qualifications - 3+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning/AI/control systems - PhD-level research experience OR significant contributions to commercial AI systems - Strong proficiency in time-series data and predictive analytics - Experience with classic optimization algorithms and modern AI (including LLMs) - Solid software engineering skills in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch - Ability to work independently in a remote environment Bonus Qualifications - Experience with control systems and optimization - Familiarity with IoT and smart home devices - Passion for energy technology and sustainability - Experience with cloud deployment and scalable systems What We Offer - Equity participation in a fast-growing clean tech company - 5 weeks paid vacation - Coworking space contribution for remote workers - Complete remote work flexibility - No corporate bureaucracy - direct impact on product development - Opportunity to make a real difference in climate change mitigation - Work with cutting-edge AI and energy technologies - International team environment Location Primary location: Tallinn, Estonia Remote work: Fully supported with team members across Estonia, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, and Ukraine
